Chennai: It has been announced that those who wish to participate as volunteers in the 44th Chess Olympiad Series can apply.
The 44th Chess Olympiad will be held from July 28 to August 10 at Mamallapuram next to Chennai. The Tamil Nadu government has ordered the formation of a 23-member coordinating committee headed by Chief Minister MK Stalin to host the Olympiad.
The committee has 23 members, including Public Works Minister EV Velu, Sports Minister Meyyanathan, Tourism Minister Mathivendan, DGP Silendra Babu, MP Raja, legislator Udayanithi Stalin and various state secretaries. Ch
The Government of Tamil Nadu has stated that the Coordinating Committee will conduct review meetings on the Olympiad competition and will work out ways to better organize the competition.

It has been announced that applications can be submitted by 18 to 30 year olds who are well versed in English and registered with the All India Chess Association. Those who are selected will have to stay and work at the venue for 20 days.
